The landmark of Kuhmo market square, Risto Saalasti’s “Laukunkantaja” (Bag Carrier) statue, has inspired the Sommelon festival team this year. Unlike previous years, this summer Sommelon does not have a permanent information desk and shop in the lobby of Kuhmo-talo. Instead, Sommelon’s bag carriers, known as “laukkukauppiaat,” will be moving around with their carts to all Sommelon events, from morning market coffee to evening clubs.
These bag carriers offer a wide range of products and services. They provide Sommelon schedules and hand programs, as well as festival merchandise such as shirts, bags, and lanyards. Additionally, they sell the festival artists’ CDs, club tickets, and other related items. You can also sign up with them for cultural trips to Finnish Karelian villages. Payment by bank card is accepted.
Welcome to explore the offerings of the bag carriers!
