Folk Music Festival Sommelo, June 23–29, 2025

Sommelo is a folk music festival that grows from local roots into a nationwide and international celebration. The entire town of Kuhmo bursts with the colorful fireworks of traditional and memory-based music, presented in both traditional and modern interpretations. Rune singing, instrumental performances, and diverse artistic experiences come together with nature, humanity, and the universe. This year’s theme for Sommelo is In the Forest.
