Incantations come to life in the Hietajärvi Heritage House.

Musician and cultural researcher Saana Pulkkinen—artist name Maahitar, originally from Savonlinna—brings to Hietajärvi an unaccompanied performance in which the archaic Savo-Karelian tradition of incantations resonates in the present moment. The performance is a living dialogue with the voices of ancestral women—a work that moves at the boundary between magical influence and art, where the human voice serves as a channel between worlds.
