The music of the Hakosalo_Tuohino duo is based on the encounter between ancient kantele traditions and modern technology. The music is experimental, improvisational, and breaks traditional musical structures. The compositions build slowly, creating sustained tensions that evolve into extended, aesthetically long-form continuums.

The duo was founded in 2024 but has already performed in Finland as well as in Japan, Canada, Lithuania, Estonia, and Sweden.
