Sylväjän Lilja is a folk music duo founded in 2024 by two professional musicians from Kuhmo, performing with emotion and arranging their music with a fresh approach. The group’s repertoire mostly consists of Finnish folk music and their own compositions. Despite its short history, Sylväjän Lilja has already performed several concert productions for audiences of different ages, and this summer at Sommelo, the Sea Adventure – From Cape Verde to Kuhmo, specially designed for young audiences, will be featured. The piece humorously invites viewers aboard the ship to experience the sea voyages of the Captain and the Sailor.
